Welcome to The Big Apple Bride! I’m Sarah, a 20 something year old small business owner and recent bride living in the West Village. I’m a graduate of Syracuse University and worked in television production management before opening up my own clothing boutique a few years ago. Although these few facts are true, they certainly don’t define me. Someone with a type A personality, a planner with a knack for researching and a lover of New York City may be more fitting. As a dreamer who hates letting grass grow under my feet, I’m still trying to figure it out and find my true passion. But I think I may have stumbled upon a new interest. Planning a wedding for almost 2 years taught me a whole lot about myself, what I enjoy doing and the industry in general.
As a native New Yorker and married in Manhattan, I’m here to be brutally honest and share personal stories as well as things I’ve learned about the pretty (and not so pretty) side of planning a New York wedding. My hope is that other soon-to-be brides have positive experiences and ultimately their dream wedding in the greatest city in the world. Whether you’re a rustic chic, traditional, or ultra modern bride my tips, vendor guide and inspiration ideas will help you throughout the planning process.
